Hello dear ones, With so many more people working from home these days, I wanted to share with you some things that may be helpful to on-going home self – care. Many people who reached out to me during the quarantine were out of the city and wanted to know what they could do at home. Of course, this is obviously not a substitute for medical attention. Topping the list – working at a desk from home. People were not having much trouble with their home workouts causing injury as much as extended hours sitting in an ergonomically incorrect position. Chantha Thach, a personal trainer in TriBeCa and professional body builder was (and is) giving online workouts. I asked Chantha if she could also demonstrate stretches to counter the problem of sitting too long. These stretches are designed to help elongate the muscles that are affected by sitting at a computer. (These stretches are to be done bilaterally where only one side is pictured) |
